Card Kit

I created this little card kit for October's Gift Flood recipient. It contains an assortment of embellishments, silk flowers, and ribbon, cardstock in red, green, and brown, and matching designer series paper. The front is a chipboard coaster (4") that I decorated as an ornament. Here is a picture of the kit without the ribbon and ornament on the front:

Hanna Stamps Celebrates their 2nd "Hanna-Versary"

If you're visiting here tonight then you must too be celebrating Hanna Stamps success! My project showcases one of their September releases...and I know, it's for November, but Hanna Stamps anniversary is actually this month...October. Confused? Well, don't be, because tonight you're in for lots of beautiful projects! As part of the celebration, they organized a blog hop to show off some of the images so many stampers have come to love so much. Be sure to visit all the other folks participating! If you're visiting here in order, next up you'll want to go visit Janet , whom I'm sure will dazzle you with her talent!

Dear Santa, I'm Not Really THAT Naughty

OR AM I?

Think Pink and Little Miss Vanity

Here's a card I did for Vivian's Think Pink breast cancer swap. Pink is usually easy for me to do, but BRIGHT and COLORFUL usually isn't. The card design folds in an interesting way...the flap on top tucks under the oval on the left to keep it closed. Clever, eh? Well, it isn't my original layout. I received a card using this same folding design from Karen F. in an owl swap sometime this summer. And when I was thinking about the cards for this swap, well, I knew it would work perfectly. So thanks to Karen for her awesome design! Above is the card partly open. And of course, in my usual way, I have to throw in some sort of twisted humor!

Christmas Greetings...eh, in October?

Just a quickie today! It's been a really long week...and it's only Wednesday.

Tag, You're It

Can you believe it's already October? I can't. And I'm not really ready to even consider the next few upcoming holidays....but...maybe you are! So, here's a quick idea for sprucing up gift tags.

Get Well Worries

A colleague of mine at work had some pretty major surgery last week - disc replacement (in his neck above his shoulders.) Honestly, being "out" and having someone cut into my NERVOUS SYSTEM just simply scares the b-geezus out of me....and I could tell that as the surgery got closer, he was a little more worried. But he has a great sense of humor, so I decided that he could handle a little humor in his get well wishes from our group. I made him the above card and everyone in our team signed it. The inside reads - Get well soon so we can harass you in person again!
