For You My Friend

Dang is it ever hot, right? Well, I spend some time crafting indoors close to the air conditioner vents. And this little box is what I came up with.  Along with the gift inside! Decorated and the final touch...that wonderful Pinque Peacock Stick Pin. It matched PERFECTLY. Anyway, hope you like it. My friend did (and she didn't assault the box when I gave it to her!) Have a super Saturday. Drink lots of water....cuz if you spend anytime outdoors, it just evaporates right out of you!

Pinque Peacock Blog Hop

Today I am participating in another fun hop with Pinque Peacock ! I sure do hope you are here to join in the fun!  If not, click on Pinque Peacock above to start and the beginning! I made this fun gift box that features an easel card on top!  Isn't that cool! AND... I created a little box to put it in to make it a gift. AND... Then you wrap it and give it to someone who will be VERY excited. If it weren't for Pinque Peacock, this gift would not have been as delightful, don't you think? OK...so, now it's time for you to make you way onto our next wonderful designer... RHONDA (now off you go!)

Retirement Gifts and Gardening

It's Another Beautiful Saturday!  Hope you are enjoying your weekend.  A colleague of mine that I've worked with for the last 10 years decided to retire.   He's going to enjoy this next chapter of his life in his garden.  I thought that it would be appropriate to create a little basket. What fun it was creating so many little gifts. Here's the table where everything was setup: The box on the right is a money box I created to put all the "seed money" we collected for him. Here's a close up: Anyway, it was good to take a little time and whip up something wonderful. Enjoy the rest of your wonderful day!

Twinkle Toes - Pass Me the Chocolate

New Year's Eve is just around the corner!  I cannot believe a year is already almost over. Celebration in the midst.  Going to party this year.  We usually don't. It's really swanky, and the hostess is a fashion queen, so what better gift than a shoe full of chocolate? (well, I can think of few better items, but not ones I can afford). If you are interested in creating one of these for yourself, you can see the pattern here: SHOE PATTERN And of course, the focal point and attention grabber is the center.  Another wonderful Pinque Peacock Splendid Swirl. So, what are you doing for New Year's Eve? I hope that whatever it is…you feel joy. And smile.

Preserved Peach Heaven

There almost isn't anything better than this time of year.  So many things growing, so many things to eat, so many things to PUT UP for colder weather! And that is what I did this past weekend with a bushel of peaches!  I made a couple batches of peach butter, peach preserves, and canned peaches! But we're a small family now...and can never finish the amount I actually can.  So, that means others get to enjoy it to.  In the endeavor of canning, I have lots to pass on.  My labor into the mouth of others.  Okay, that's sort of silly, but you get the point. And the photo above is a little gift.  In creating the packaging, it uses a couple of my favorite Made in the USA at a Home Based, Small Company. The button is from Pinque Peacock (and I'm also show casing this today, so go say hi), and the ribbon is from 3GIRLJAM ! Now, go enjoy your Friday!  Tomorrow I'm going on a little bitty plane to take some awesome shots! TTFN

Vino for All!

Good Monday everyone! I'm reporting to you directly from... Across the Atlantic. No, really.  I'm on vacation in Barcelona...coming back tomorrow, but thought I would share a Wine Journal, inspired directly from all the rich culture of Spain. And of course, I couldn't resist adding a beautiful Pinque Peacock pin and 3GirlJam ribbon rose to adorn my cover. Okay, well, that's it for me.  I'm on my way to the shore to laze around with my daughter one last day before heading back to the daily grind (so I can afford to do this again SOON) In the meantime, everyone have a  Fabulous and Art-Filled Day!

Fancy Framed Calendar

Good Morning Everyone. Today I am posting the project above over on the Pinque Peacock blog.  Come say hi to me over there! Finally I finished decorating this frame I purchased for the sole purpose of holding my 2013 calendar months.  I've had it sitting on my dining room table waiting for me to get my act together and finish it.   Also, I'm heading back to the daily grind for another busy work week and lots of time away from my fur babies!  No Fun...For them or for me. But before I get myself too depressed about working and traveling, NOW, at least I have a nice calendar for my cubicle at work! I used one of Pinque Peacock's wonderful silk buttons, newly released this month, to center my pretty yellow paper flower. At least I finished it at a time of year when everything is blooming pink and coming up roses. Well, that's about enough jabber for today.  Have a grand week. Be sure to sprinkle some art in your...

Distressed Note Board

Good morning everyone.  Today I wanted to show you one of the distressed noteboards I made.  I made a few all very unique.  This one is a piece of scrap wood, stained and distressed.  I added some textured and distressed cardstock over the base (and also on the clothes pin).  Then I prettied it up with some great ribbon, including crinkle ribbon from 3GirlJam, and bead/wire accessories.   It was such a fun project.  I have another one over on the 3GirlJam blog today as well.   Hope you are having a great Friday!  I'm looking forward to a little rest and relaxation with my doggies and husband!

Fashionable Tote for that Oh So Fashionable Gal

Good Morning Everyone! Bringing you a little stylish project. What better way to start a new week than in style! With a little tote, that is. And a pretty one at that, wouldn't you agree? My project is a fashionable tote to help a precious 'lil girl keep track of all her special items....those items that all little girls need on an incredible journey with her friends. I think my daughter would have loved this when she was a little girl.  If it were larger, I think she would actually like it still! I've used a muslin bag (8x10) from 3GirlJam that I decorated with some colorful fabric.  I fancied and sewed the bottom of the bag so that it would sit flat.  I really liked that extra feature!  I will definitely be using that technique over again.  I added the jumbo eyelets and included some colorful ribbon to fashion it as a little purse.  A sturdy little purse that would endure an outdoor adventure! I've donned it front and ...

Valentine Treats

It's really getting chilly over here in the North East.  I think we're finally getting a winter.  Even had a little snow last night! I hope you're ready for a little inspiration. Let me start with a confession... I LOVE CHOCOLATE.  I LOVE STAMPING AND PAPER ARTS AND 3GIRLJAM RIBBON ! Ha, so what better solution than to combine it all! Whatcha Think? Good Plan? I made a boat load of these - because I bought a boat load of candy! HAD to make sure I used every piece cuz otherwise each of those deceitfully small bits of awesome will end up on my hips! AND What's even better is that I have been fluttering about like I'm cupid (except I have had my clothes on) and giving these away. To strangers in the grocery At work And even at the doctor's and physical therapists office. I'ts been fun seeing folks smile...  [Except for maybe the one grouchy man at the pharmacy that insisted I take it back and would I ...

Getting Ready for Franken-Storm

Well, you'd think with the weather reports the way they are, I would be frantically shopping and getting ready for the hurricane of the decade. But no, I say BRING IT ON Frankenstorm and all.  I'm going to have spooktacular fun crafting instead!   And really, what better way to spend THIS particular day than completing the final touches of your Halloween decorations and treats! So, while I'm usually up to NO GOOD, today I'm having some good old fashioned fun making (and eating) treats so that the little tricksters out there will NOT target me on Halloween. As I mentioned a couple weeks ago, we don't get many kids on Halloween around here, so I usually put together a few unique packages filled with candy to give each little cutie that comes by all decked out in fun costumes. The above is one of those packages.  And I love that it's quick AND pretty AND festive.  Oh, and it fits the 3Girl Jam Challenge .  A Halloween Trea...
