Luck of the Irish Blog Hop

Hi There Hoppers!
Thanks for visiting me today.  Today is my day to share a project with you as part of the Pinque Peacock Blog Hop!

It has been happening all weekend...started on Friday, so if this is the first you heard of it, you might want to start at the beginning to see all the lovely projects the team of artists and creators have to show you!  Click on the button above to go the Pinque Peacock blog post for the start of the hop.  You will definitely want to participate, because there is a great reward if you do!

You can find out how to qualify for the gift on the Pinque Peacock blog!
I realize my two projects aren't exactly "Irish" or themed to the upcoming St. Patty's Day holiday, but this is where my muse took me.

First, my card features one of the Pinque Peacock stick pins.  Isn't it lovely?  Here's a close-up.

And my second project is to hold my Pinque Peacock stick pins and buttons.  I made it from a jelly jar, fabric, and pillow stuffing!

Well,…

All Sparkles with Somewhere to Go!

Well, I just have TOO much going on this weekend!
First up, I have to tell you about the Pinque Peacock Blog Hop.

It's happening all weekend (starting NOW) thru Sunday, featuring different projects every day. You really need to take a peek.
It's worth $15.00 in goods if you participate all weekend long!

Start on Pinque Peacock blog today and read all about it!
Come back here on Sunday!  I'll have a post as part of Pinque Peacock's blog hop!
I KNOW....I'm seriously demanding (ask my husband).
OH, that reminds me!
My next thing to show you is a card to my sweet man...

Yes! Isn't it saltry!
I had so much fun making this card (after I fretted with my print driver/InDesign issues) BUTTTTT......
It's fun for a few reasons:
I learned un peu about InDesign and print (per meine Fotografie)Those aren't my nails, but I fantasized that they were!I am hiding it for my dear husband.  He'll find it oh so unexpectantly. It uses some fab ribbon from 3GirlJam!I am using…

Blog Candy Winner

With the help of the Random.Org, the winning draw is Lucy! I realize it seems odd the number, but here's what I did....everyone that posted a comment (25) got a chance to win.  Then followers received an extra chance (13).  25 + 13 = 38.
Lucy, I'm running over to your blog to comment so you can tell me where to send your mystery goodies!

In the Bag

Yay!  It's Friday.  So glad the weekend is here...and I'm taking the day off!  My hubby and I have a date with Caitlin (middle daughter) and her boyfriend this evening and I have too many things to do to let work get in the way...Right!

First on the list is sharing this great bag I put together to hide a gift inside!  It might still be Winter, but I'm feeling the Spring-time vibes!  Can you tell?

Not going to tell you what's inside! HA!

But I will tell you a little more about it.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Well, todays is the day of love, yes?  And who is better than expressing that desire than Pepe le Pew?

Chuckle
He was always one of my favorite characters!

Anyway, just wanted to let you know that today is it! The last day to get your 3D Valentine projects submitted for the challenge over on the 3GirlJam Challenge Blog!

Big News!

I have some super exciting news!  I'm now participating in a wonderful team for Pinque Peacock!  Founded by Jessica Shelton-Buffa, this is a little boutique that offers a series of really versatile products that span several mediums!  I've been using the products in some of my artwork, and now I get to work directly this band of colorful birds to showcase and highlight their products on a regular basis.

Here's a recap of a couple items I have shown here previously, but thought you might like to see them again.

This card uses one of the fabric colored buttons.  It's a pretty good sized button (1.5 inches diameter).  But I really liked how bright and beautiful this card turned out...

Here's a recent tag I made for a Christmas present, which uses the fabulous stick pins:

Needless to say...

I'm psyched!

Here's a photo of all of us!

Treats to the Mail

I have been working on a bunch of little Valentine treats this weekend! This is another version of the one I did the other day.  I've decided to post this to the 3GirlJam Challenge!

Here's a card that I made for my friend's birthday.  I had made a very similar card for my husband's Valentine's Day card (Shhhh...don't tell him), but this one has a boatload of hearts varying in size, texture, and color!  I have to say, I really like the next honeycomb embossing folder and the Core'dinations card stock from Stampin Up!

Knitted Love - Care Tags

So, it's downright chilly outside...and we're experiencing a "nor'easter" which I had NEVER heard of until I moved here. For those of you that don't know what it is either, you can find out more HERE.

Anyway, there is almost no better way to spend time when you're stuck indoors than knitting (my dogs would disagree...they still believe there is NOTHING good about inside except TREATS).

But I digress.  This post is about all the knitted good I'm making...But you really can't SEE in the photo above.  It's another hat, similar to THIS ONE.  It's for another friend having a birthday this week.

I have to keep it sorta quiet, tho, cuz she'll find out before she gets it!  Anyway, here's a little care tag I made for her hat.  And it fits, given our present weather conditions!

I had so much fun creating this tag...It was a REAL mess, tho, cuz I painted and glittered, and painted some more, and glued...and YIKES...I let the paint DRY on my …

Little Packaged Treats

I don't know about you, but SOMEONE needed to catch those M&M dudes...They were just running amuck.
This little treat package measures. Let's Seeeee.  Gotta' Find it!
AH, there.  Opened by SOMEONE. Oh, wait.  Maybe THEY escaped.  Now...THAT's a creepy thought.
Who to blame.
ANYWAY.  Back to the dimensions.  I BELIEVE it was (definitely) 3 inches across the top and 4.5 inches (pretty sure) lengthwise.
Another thing I'm sure of...I used:
Transparency sheets from Staples RETIRED yet LOVELY Stampin Up! DSP
Ciao, Baby! stamps from Stampin Up!
und mein Favorit...3GirlJam Crinkle Ribbon.
Ole' Didn't you want to Ole'? It really fit. I am entering this in a couple challenges.  The first is the Dream Valley Challenge.  3GirlJam is also running a challenge right now that I KNOW you will enjoy...and I'm SURE you have something to share!  It's 3D Valentines.  And there's still time to play....so link up your project!

Hubba Hubby

While it was absolutely awesome to see this man as I finished my exhausting and hung-over engulfed run, it was way more fun to see this photo on review (today) and notice Layla in the foreground.

She was happy to see Daddy too.

Happy Birthday Friend

One of my very good friends is having a birthday tomorrow.  I really don't think she knows how often she enters my thoughts nor how often I pray that she continues to mend...but she's there...always...behind my eye...in thought.

And she turns one year older in just a couple hours.  And I, as well as so many others, are so glad to see this birthday of hers, because not very long ago, she spent this birthday in a hospital, recovering from one of the most horrific motorcycle accidents many have ever experienced.

And she survived.

She is here for a reason.  So glad.

So glad I know her.

Happy birthday friend.  I have only silly little trifles to offer you.  But I'm glad you are here today to celebrate.

Covered in Hearts

Today I'm sharing a quick little treat I put together.  It's a Valentine Treat that only a cat can appreciate!  Filled with catnip, I used one of the new products that 3GirlJam is carrying -- State Line Bags.

This is one of the smallest - measuring 2x3 inches...perfect for all sorts of things...and in this case, a colorful catnip treat!

Other items I have on plate for these bags are:
-  sachets for my clothing drawers, filled with lavendar, rose, and patchouli.
- handmade jewelry earrings
- essential oil diffusers

Hopefully I'll get a chance to show you!
