Can You Feel It?

I absolutely LOVE jogging during this time of year...not only because the temperatures are perfect for it, but because everytime I go out through the woods I can FEEL the earth growing. The earth shakes it's cobwebs and dormant spirit and revives itself...Something my own spirit desires.

I can see the same energy in my little furry family.

Today....Clyde.

I've mentioned my little guy before...he's a 17 year old Pomeranian. As Dave and I were heading out the door, he stepped out of his kennel asking to go. He's a funny pooch...years ago when I was jogging marathons and doing triathalons, he trained with me on the runs. He loved it, as long as the temperatures were reasonable. So, I became sensitive to his signals...when he wanted to go or wanted to "sit it out".

Today, he wanted to go....AT 17, mind you...isn't that like almost 120 in dog years!? AND....he's got congestive heart failure so I have to be very careful...but I could not resist his little face.

He knows Spring.

So I took him and we mostly walked, but he was so happy and spunky throughout our venture. He even ran ahead of me a couple times, stopped (and coughed) and looked back at me, like...."hey, yes, you....Loser....Catch up!"

We...Clyde and I...had a great little 3 mile walk/jog.

He knows it. He hears it growing out the patio door.

Warm...Growth....Life Anew

It's no wonder that our spirits lift when warmth spreads across the region and new growth happens...everywhere.

Beautiful description - spring is definitely in the air! (And I do believe dogs are happiest when out on a walk- yay for Clyde at 17!)

Warm Little Sweetness

I must admit that I have become quite fond of making little bitty sweaters.   It all started on a recent trek to India traveling for business. I needed to carry just enough yarn to keep my busy bee hands occupied during the evenings in my hotel room. There are just so many hats a person can make, right?  Anyway, having limited quantities of yarn, I decided to give a small sweater a go.  This is the first one I created. I had just the perfect little buttons to add! (It really is amazing what one might find in their cosmetic bag) I love it.  This sweater is also featured on the Pinque Peacock blog   since I used her buttons.  (Go visit and see the buttons up close) This makes the sweater a really one of a kind project! This next one is perfect for a little preemie.  It's so tiny, but features a great big snowflake! Close up of the snowflake…. I also sewed on one of the StampinUp! Frosted Finishes Embellishments.  I think it finished it off nice

Baker John

Totally scrumptious, this bread. John is home from college right now and in-between hours of aimless gaming, he must be thinking of good food. He trolled my cookbook case and pulled a very old Italian bread cookbook out and VOILA....filled our house with the wonderful aroma of rosemary. His first loaf.

Big Birthday Celebration

Are you here having fun hopping along with 3GirlJAM in celebration of Julie's sister's big birthday year?  What a great little cyber party we're having!  (she's really a young thing, but she's having a great year) Well, if not, you should be hopping along (I'll tell you why in a moment). There are some really wonderful birthday ideas from all of us on the design team...and including Julie's two girls, who are also having fun celebrating their aunt's birthday. If you need to go back to the beginning, head over to the 3GirlJAM blog to get started.  Otherwise.... Here's my card in celebration her special year! I used blue crinkle ribbon from the newly released  Red,White,Blue Bundle.   It's such a nice shade of blue!  The white has bits of the red and blue in it (and I love the ribbon when it's like that)...and the red is also pretty awesome...like marachino cherries.  The little button in the center is from Pinque Peacock (l
