Introducing....

I went to the Farmer's Market today to pick up a bussel of apples for applesauce.
To market to market to buy a fresh .........well, you get the picture.
I had never been to this market before. After a recommendation from my in-laws, I decided that it was a beautiful day for the 30 minute drive to the Booth Corner Farmer's Market.
Eggs, veggies, and then a stroll around.
I turn a corner and in front of me is this little guy.....
Meet Oliver
Who is now at home with us.

After an adventureous ride home and meeting the family, he enthusiastically tried to make friends with Clyde and my cats. Dave and John were happy to have him and thought he was adorable, but...well, let's just say that Clyde and the cats were not the least bit interested in befriending this ball of energy. So to run off some steam, he froliced around outside, did his business and then cozied next to Dave on the couch where he is now fast asleep.

I am sure he's going to be very active again right when we need to go to the theater tonight.

Sigh.

Really, I wanted Apples.

Baker John

Totally scrumptious, this bread. John is home from college right now and in-between hours of aimless gaming, he must be thinking of good food. He trolled my cookbook case and pulled a very old Italian bread cookbook out and VOILA....filled our house with the wonderful aroma of rosemary. His first loaf.

On the Mend

This card is for my friend who is on the mend (the one who survived the motorcycle accident).  She has amazed everyone with her recovery, even the hospital staff.  What she has yet to overcome is just the time involved in patching herself back together. I thought this would be a good card for her and hope it puts a smile on her face.  She probably feels alot like this mummy right now, because I bet there aren't many areas on her not covered with bandages and casts. The sentiment I used is from a StampinUp! set from the 2011-2012 catalog.  (I just got these yesterday).  It has 4 stamps, all with this swirly, vintage feel [Thank You, Happy Birthday, Celebrate Today, and Get Well].

Precious Boy

A quiet, misty morning walk in late March 2012. This little precious boy puts a smile on my face every time I look at him. I mean, really, who wouldn't smile like there's no tomorrow at this little guy?  I love him.  Every. Little. Thing. He almost (ALMOST) competes with my husband. My sweet husband with a similar expression.  What do YOU think?
