Pinque Peacock - April Release Day 3

Good Day all!  Today, I am participating in Day 3 of Pinque Peacock's April release!  If you haven't yet participated, you'll want to start over on Pinque Peacock's blog HERE. (And remember to participate in all three days to see all the great projects!)

There are PRIZES!  So, make sure you read all about it on the starter post!

My little journal project above features one of the fabulous silk buttons included in this months release.  I won't really spend too much time chatting about it, because I don't want to hold you up from see what else everybody else made (and there are some wonderfully beautiful projects - much more genius than mine!)

Thanks so much for participating in the hop this month!  And have a wonderful Sunday!

You do a smashing job with your journals, Rebecca!! Love this one and the colors are grand! I'm just curious if you stitched the actual journal yourself as well?

Happy Sunday and thanks for sharing, I'm a big fan of your work!!

Inspirational Unity Blog Hop

I have three huge passions related to art: photography, jewelry making, and paper crafts. Above combines two of those passions: jewelry making and paper crafts. The necklace featured is a gift for a friend. I used Unity Stamp Company stamps in all the projects shown in the picture above. If you look closely, you'll even see that I used the Hawaiian Border and the swirls in the lambs fleece of Love Ewe to make the bronze charms in the jewelry above! Besides the stamps used, other materials included Bronz Clay, antiqued bronze findings, and various beads. Of course, what gift isn't complete without packaging? You can find the tutorial for the bag Here . Paper and cardstock, punches, and ribbon used are from Stampin Up! while the stamp used is from Unity's March Kit of the Month . People who know me know how I strive to use humor everyday...and especially to make light of otherwise stressful situations. So, my quote for the day has absolutely nothing to do with my project. Unity Blog Hop

My project today is a little mini album I put together to give to my daughter, who is exploring the possibility of traveling across America from Washington State to Delaware in July. I wanted to give her something to log and journal her adventures! I used stamps from Unity Stamp Company's June and November Kits of the Month for the cover. Inside the cover, I put a little note. She plans to hitch hike which is extremely bothersome to me. I want her to be safe! Maybe I'll suggest flying out and renting a car and doing a rode trip with her! That would curb my fears and will also be fun! The journal block comes from their September Kit . Unity Stamp Company is featuring a sale on their previous Kits! This is the time to get them if you don't have ENOUGH! See their sales here: Sales at Unity The inside pages were not made with a KOM stamp, but this stamp is cool all the same. I love this flower . It's big and has many uses! To start at the beginning of the blog hop, ...
