Preserved Peach Heaven

There almost isn't anything better than this time of year.  So many things growing, so many things to eat, so many things to PUT UP for colder weather!

And that is what I did this past weekend with a bushel of peaches!  I made a couple batches of peach butter, peach preserves, and canned peaches!

But we're a small family now...and can never finish the amount I actually can.  So, that means others get to enjoy it to.  In the endeavor of canning, I have lots to pass on.  My labor into the mouth of others.  Okay, that's sort of silly, but you get the point.

And the photo above is a little gift.  In creating the packaging, it uses a couple of my favorite Made in the USA at a Home Based, Small Company.

The button is from Pinque Peacock (and I'm also show casing this today, so go say hi), and the ribbon is from 3GIRLJAM!

Now, go enjoy your Friday!  Tomorrow I'm going on a little bitty plane to take some awesome shots!

this is such a great idea. I love it. I am going to try using the button as a closure. Never thought of that.

Inspirational Unity Blog Hop

I have three huge passions related to art: photography, jewelry making, and paper crafts. Above combines two of those passions: jewelry making and paper crafts. The necklace featured is a gift for a friend. I used Unity Stamp Company stamps in all the projects shown in the picture above. If you look closely, you'll even see that I used the Hawaiian Border and the swirls in the lambs fleece of Love Ewe to make the bronze charms in the jewelry above! Besides the stamps used, other materials included Bronz Clay, antiqued bronze findings, and various beads. Of course, what gift isn't complete without packaging? You can find the tutorial for the bag Here . Paper and cardstock, punches, and ribbon used are from Stampin Up! while the stamp used is from Unity's March Kit of the Month . People who know me know how I strive to use humor everyday...and especially to make light of otherwise stressful situations. So, my quote for the day has absolutely nothing to do with my project. Unity Blog Hop

My project today is a little mini album I put together to give to my daughter, who is exploring the possibility of traveling across America from Washington State to Delaware in July. I wanted to give her something to log and journal her adventures! I used stamps from Unity Stamp Company's June and November Kits of the Month for the cover. Inside the cover, I put a little note. She plans to hitch hike which is extremely bothersome to me. I want her to be safe! Maybe I'll suggest flying out and renting a car and doing a rode trip with her! That would curb my fears and will also be fun! The journal block comes from their September Kit . Unity Stamp Company is featuring a sale on their previous Kits! This is the time to get them if you don't have ENOUGH! See their sales here: Sales at Unity The inside pages were not made with a KOM stamp, but this stamp is cool all the same. I love this flower . It's big and has many uses! To start at the beginning of the blog hop, ...
