Mixed Up Media Chix Birthday Blog Hop!

Today I'm participating in the Mixed Up Media Chix Birthday Blog Hop!

If you want to participate, start over on Ria's Blog

I love participating in these, because it always challenges me to go back to the canvas.

Unfortunately, my canvas isn't completely done, but hey, I was totally having so much fun.  And I want to show it to you anyway!

I like what I've done so far on this…what do you think?

All the folks participating have some really fun projects to share, don't you think?

I'm LAST….wasn't it fun?  Yay…so as long as you commented on everyone's post, you just might WIN a little prize!

Oh, and last, I wanted to show you where some of my "mixed media" stuff is sitting…

Have a great 2nd day of Spring.
Cheers!

Oooo dripping is one of my favourite techniues - love how you used it here! Also, I spy some brush stroke lettering which I am just getting into - I love how you have combined the bright colours with the black lettering, Stunning!!
It truly feels like Spring in every way. Lovely!

Your canvas is looking wonderful! I want to see it when it's done! And, I see you have a mixed media dog, too! How fun! (They have to be in the middle of it, don't they?) my Goldenseal would be there, too -- if they fit.

Inspirational Unity Blog Hop

I have three huge passions related to art: photography, jewelry making, and paper crafts. Above combines two of those passions: jewelry making and paper crafts. The necklace featured is a gift for a friend. I used Unity Stamp Company stamps in all the projects shown in the picture above. If you look closely, you'll even see that I used the Hawaiian Border and the swirls in the lambs fleece of Love Ewe to make the bronze charms in the jewelry above! Besides the stamps used, other materials included Bronz Clay, antiqued bronze findings, and various beads. Of course, what gift isn't complete without packaging? You can find the tutorial for the bag Here . Paper and cardstock, punches, and ribbon used are from Stampin Up! while the stamp used is from Unity's March Kit of the Month . People who know me know how I strive to use humor everyday...and especially to make light of otherwise stressful situations. So, my quote for the day has absolutely nothing to do with my project. Unity Blog Hop

My project today is a little mini album I put together to give to my daughter, who is exploring the possibility of traveling across America from Washington State to Delaware in July. I wanted to give her something to log and journal her adventures! I used stamps from Unity Stamp Company's June and November Kits of the Month for the cover. Inside the cover, I put a little note. She plans to hitch hike which is extremely bothersome to me. I want her to be safe! Maybe I'll suggest flying out and renting a car and doing a rode trip with her! That would curb my fears and will also be fun! The journal block comes from their September Kit . Unity Stamp Company is featuring a sale on their previous Kits! This is the time to get them if you don't have ENOUGH! See their sales here: Sales at Unity The inside pages were not made with a KOM stamp, but this stamp is cool all the same. I love this flower . It's big and has many uses! To start at the beginning of the blog hop, ...
