Stamps, Drinks and Gabbing

So, can you GUESS who I met while I was visiting with my daughter in Washington?

Let's see....well...she:

- Just sent her son off to college, but isn't yet an empty nester
- Creates stamping masterpiece cards and layouts
- Has a great (sick? morbid? sinister?) sense of humor
- Deals with all sorts of creatures and smells
- Carries a gun
- Has more energy than a chihuahua
- Is on my right in the picture below

Yes, it's KelliJo. She works in the area near my daughter. So, before I went, we tentatively arranged to meet.

We hooked up near a Michael's, did a little shopping, then ventured over to Applebee's for a quick bite...and most importantly...a drink.

She gave me the cutest card (that I don't yet have a picture of darn it!...but will add when I get a second)

I think I talked her ear off(complained? vented? gabbed? yacked on and on), but it was fun. I only wished I had more time and had my stamp room with me so that we could have stamped a little.

Oh, well....next time.

Inspirational Unity Blog Hop

I have three huge passions related to art: photography, jewelry making, and paper crafts. Above combines two of those passions: jewelry making and paper crafts. The necklace featured is a gift for a friend. I used Unity Stamp Company stamps in all the projects shown in the picture above. If you look closely, you'll even see that I used the Hawaiian Border and the swirls in the lambs fleece of Love Ewe to make the bronze charms in the jewelry above! Besides the stamps used, other materials included Bronz Clay, antiqued bronze findings, and various beads. Of course, what gift isn't complete without packaging? You can find the tutorial for the bag Here . Paper and cardstock, punches, and ribbon used are from Stampin Up! while the stamp used is from Unity's March Kit of the Month . People who know me know how I strive to use humor everyday...and especially to make light of otherwise stressful situations. So, my quote for the day has absolutely nothing to do with my project. I

Unity Blog Hop

My project today is a little mini album I put together to give to my daughter, who is exploring the possibility of traveling across America from Washington State to Delaware in July. I wanted to give her something to log and journal her adventures! I used stamps from Unity Stamp Company's June and November Kits of the Month for the cover. Inside the cover, I put a little note. She plans to hitch hike which is extremely bothersome to me. I want her to be safe! Maybe I'll suggest flying out and renting a car and doing a rode trip with her! That would curb my fears and will also be fun! The journal block comes from their September Kit . Unity Stamp Company is featuring a sale on their previous Kits! This is the time to get them if you don't have ENOUGH! See their sales here: Sales at Unity The inside pages were not made with a KOM stamp, but this stamp is cool all the same. I love this flower . It's big and has many uses! To start at the beginning of the blog hop,
