Fleur

All I can say is this....

There is NOTHING better than spending a day off relaxing amongst flowers and friends.

I took the day off because it has been ABSOLUTELY beautiful lately....reminds me why we endure the winter...and this year, we had no excuse of "cold harsh winter", because it was truly quite mild.  Very few days ventured below 30 F.

But still, the delight of spring has few opponents.

Anyway, this card is "Les Fleur de mon ami" because it celebrates renewed friendship.

And, of course, since this is FWF, it's featuring a couple Unity Stamps and we're amongst friends!

Also the images...they are like spring buds...afresh and new and not yet fully bloomed.  Okay, silly analogy.....but you get it.  These are COMING to your mailbox soon, should you be as excited as I was to see them....

And another delight of spring for me has been my daily walks with sir Oliver and bella Layla....

My silly girl being her bold self.... You can't really tell from this shot, but there is probably 4 feet of air below her under the log.  The trails we walk are shared by mountain bikers and this is one of the stunt paths they can take.   And of course, the bold little ones with no fear.  They can take it too.

She even went back over it a couple times just to make sure I got a decent shot of her being triumphant!

Warm Little Sweetness

I must admit that I have become quite fond of making little bitty sweaters.   It all started on a recent trek to India traveling for business. I needed to carry just enough yarn to keep my busy bee hands occupied during the evenings in my hotel room. There are just so many hats a person can make, right?  Anyway, having limited quantities of yarn, I decided to give a small sweater a go.  This is the first one I created. I had just the perfect little buttons to add! (It really is amazing what one might find in their cosmetic bag) I love it.  This sweater is also featured on the Pinque Peacock blog   since I used her buttons.  (Go visit and see the buttons up close) This makes the sweater a really one of a kind project! This next one is perfect for a little preemie.  It's so tiny, but features a great big snowflake! Close up of the snowflake…. I also sewed on one of the StampinUp! Frosted Finishes Embellishments.  I think it finished it off nice

Baker John

Totally scrumptious, this bread. John is home from college right now and in-between hours of aimless gaming, he must be thinking of good food. He trolled my cookbook case and pulled a very old Italian bread cookbook out and VOILA....filled our house with the wonderful aroma of rosemary. His first loaf.

Big Birthday Celebration

Are you here having fun hopping along with 3GirlJAM in celebration of Julie's sister's big birthday year?  What a great little cyber party we're having!  (she's really a young thing, but she's having a great year) Well, if not, you should be hopping along (I'll tell you why in a moment). There are some really wonderful birthday ideas from all of us on the design team...and including Julie's two girls, who are also having fun celebrating their aunt's birthday. If you need to go back to the beginning, head over to the 3GirlJAM blog to get started.  Otherwise.... Here's my card in celebration her special year! I used blue crinkle ribbon from the newly released  Red,White,Blue Bundle.   It's such a nice shade of blue!  The white has bits of the red and blue in it (and I love the ribbon when it's like that)...and the red is also pretty awesome...like marachino cherries.  The little button in the center is from Pinque Peacock (l
