Sweet Summer

While the sun is reminding me that summer is soon to end, this card was made to celebrate summer!  I made it to feel fresh and "sweet".

The watermelon slice and sentiment is from the {ippity} set, "New Season, New Wonder".  Below is a close-up of the melon:

Isn't it scrumptious?  I thought you'd agree!

The ribbon is a 3GirlJam Crinkle Ribbon from the Hot/Cold bundle.  The color may be "Ice Blue", but it screams Fruity Caribbean beverage to me!

So, like I said in the opening sentence, the summer is soon to part us...We, the dogs and I, went on another walk again after work while Dave biked, and by the time we got back to the car (just after 8 pm), it was already almost dark! Sigh.

But hey, here's a picture of my sweet muddy pups in the car ready to come home (for a beer)!

A great reminder of summer. It was 46 degrees here this morning! I mailed out your blog candy on Wed.
Your card is definitely scrumptious! That set is on my long wish list. It is perfectly refreshing for summer. Your doggies are darling sitting in the car! Love it! :)
Great card! Love the crinkled ribbon!

Inspirational Unity Blog Hop

I have three huge passions related to art: photography, jewelry making, and paper crafts. Above combines two of those passions: jewelry making and paper crafts. The necklace featured is a gift for a friend. I used Unity Stamp Company stamps in all the projects shown in the picture above. If you look closely, you'll even see that I used the Hawaiian Border and the swirls in the lambs fleece of Love Ewe to make the bronze charms in the jewelry above! Besides the stamps used, other materials included Bronz Clay, antiqued bronze findings, and various beads. Of course, what gift isn't complete without packaging? You can find the tutorial for the bag Here . Paper and cardstock, punches, and ribbon used are from Stampin Up! while the stamp used is from Unity's March Kit of the Month . People who know me know how I strive to use humor everyday...and especially to make light of otherwise stressful situations. So, my quote for the day has absolutely nothing to do with my project. I

Unity Blog Hop

My project today is a little mini album I put together to give to my daughter, who is exploring the possibility of traveling across America from Washington State to Delaware in July. I wanted to give her something to log and journal her adventures! I used stamps from Unity Stamp Company's June and November Kits of the Month for the cover. Inside the cover, I put a little note. She plans to hitch hike which is extremely bothersome to me. I want her to be safe! Maybe I'll suggest flying out and renting a car and doing a rode trip with her! That would curb my fears and will also be fun! The journal block comes from their September Kit . Unity Stamp Company is featuring a sale on their previous Kits! This is the time to get them if you don't have ENOUGH! See their sales here: Sales at Unity The inside pages were not made with a KOM stamp, but this stamp is cool all the same. I love this flower . It's big and has many uses! To start at the beginning of the blog hop,
