Get Well...Be Well...Live Well

The card below is being sent to someone who is beginning to succumb to cancer (as well as issues resulting from a compromised immune system). It would be so nice to be able to give a little health away to someone who really needs it. Instead, I only hope this card helps her smile.

Both stamps are from Unity Stamp Company. The primary image, the tree, is from a new set, "Little Sprout". Everything else is Stampin Up!

Making this card helped me reflect on my own life and what I did well or could have done better.

There are so many people and things in my life that bring me joy and help me live well. Here are only a few:

(1) Candace. She is such a wonderful young woman. She really LIVES the life she wants to see in the world (most of the time...lol). I look at her sometimes and become thankful of the hard times we lived through when she was wee.

(2) Dave. Very few folks get to see how comedic he can be. His expressions, disposition and (sometimes juvenile) antics. When we aren't stressed out by all the daily grind, we have so much fun, mostly because he brings laughter and smiles into my otherwise serious, pensive nature. I am happy to share my life with him.

(3) Laughter. Heartfelt laughter. I don't think I can laugh enough. It brings the most joy. I have a very good friend that I no longer work with (project cancelled) and he brought fun back to work because of his deep hearty laugh. HIS laugh alone brightens a room.

(4) Friends. My best memories are of the time I've spent with my friends.

(5) Kinky, Coma, Yello, and Clyde (my fury family). They are worth every fur ball rambling along the floor.

Warm Little Sweetness

I must admit that I have become quite fond of making little bitty sweaters.   It all started on a recent trek to India traveling for business. I needed to carry just enough yarn to keep my busy bee hands occupied during the evenings in my hotel room. There are just so many hats a person can make, right?  Anyway, having limited quantities of yarn, I decided to give a small sweater a go.  This is the first one I created. I had just the perfect little buttons to add! (It really is amazing what one might find in their cosmetic bag) I love it.  This sweater is also featured on the Pinque Peacock blog   since I used her buttons.  (Go visit and see the buttons up close) This makes the sweater a really one of a kind project! This next one is perfect for a little preemie.  It's so tiny, but features a great big snowflake! Close up of the snowflake…. I also sewed on one of the StampinUp! Frosted Finishes Embellishments.  I think it finished it off nice

Inspirational Unity Blog Hop

I have three huge passions related to art: photography, jewelry making, and paper crafts. Above combines two of those passions: jewelry making and paper crafts. The necklace featured is a gift for a friend. I used Unity Stamp Company stamps in all the projects shown in the picture above. If you look closely, you'll even see that I used the Hawaiian Border and the swirls in the lambs fleece of Love Ewe to make the bronze charms in the jewelry above! Besides the stamps used, other materials included Bronz Clay, antiqued bronze findings, and various beads. Of course, what gift isn't complete without packaging? You can find the tutorial for the bag Here . Paper and cardstock, punches, and ribbon used are from Stampin Up! while the stamp used is from Unity's March Kit of the Month . People who know me know how I strive to use humor everyday...and especially to make light of otherwise stressful situations. So, my quote for the day has absolutely nothing to do with my project. I
