Vintage Images

I feel like I've stumbled onto a treasure - Vintage Images.

A few weeks ago, I stumbled onto the most wonderful blog that features free vintage images, including a little weekly challenge. The author, Cora, has collected images over time. She has chosen to share some of these in a usable digital format from her personal collection so that we can use them in our paper and mixed media art creations! Isn't that generous? She posts two images on Tuesdays with a challenge and some bonus images on Saturday mornings.

Those of you that are regular bloggers know how much time, effort, and personal motivation it takes to continue an endeavor like this!

Anyway, in case you haven't noticed, I posted the links along the side panel of my blog and encourage anyone visiting here to go and take a look at Clearly Vintage and Digital Two for Tuesday!

I believe her collection is really nice and she has a generous policy with using the images too, Go visit her - You won't be disappointed. She is mounds of inspiration!

Thank you for the kind words about my blogs. They are a labor of love and it is all worthwhile to know artist s are using the images.

Isn't Cora a sweetheart for being so generous with us? I wanted to thank you for your lovely comment on my post. This is the first time I had done a "hostessing" job and am still not sure if I did it correctly. Blogging is new to me and I walk into unfamiliar ground. Come back & see me sometime soon...Sharon

Inspirational Unity Blog Hop

I have three huge passions related to art: photography, jewelry making, and paper crafts. Above combines two of those passions: jewelry making and paper crafts. The necklace featured is a gift for a friend. I used Unity Stamp Company stamps in all the projects shown in the picture above. If you look closely, you'll even see that I used the Hawaiian Border and the swirls in the lambs fleece of Love Ewe to make the bronze charms in the jewelry above! Besides the stamps used, other materials included Bronz Clay, antiqued bronze findings, and various beads. Of course, what gift isn't complete without packaging? You can find the tutorial for the bag Here . Paper and cardstock, punches, and ribbon used are from Stampin Up! while the stamp used is from Unity's March Kit of the Month . People who know me know how I strive to use humor everyday...and especially to make light of otherwise stressful situations. So, my quote for the day has absolutely nothing to do with my project. I

Unity Blog Hop

My project today is a little mini album I put together to give to my daughter, who is exploring the possibility of traveling across America from Washington State to Delaware in July. I wanted to give her something to log and journal her adventures! I used stamps from Unity Stamp Company's June and November Kits of the Month for the cover. Inside the cover, I put a little note. She plans to hitch hike which is extremely bothersome to me. I want her to be safe! Maybe I'll suggest flying out and renting a car and doing a rode trip with her! That would curb my fears and will also be fun! The journal block comes from their September Kit . Unity Stamp Company is featuring a sale on their previous Kits! This is the time to get them if you don't have ENOUGH! See their sales here: Sales at Unity The inside pages were not made with a KOM stamp, but this stamp is cool all the same. I love this flower . It's big and has many uses! To start at the beginning of the blog hop,
