Best Friends

Just a little ippity inspiration for you today!  I have several friends with birthdays this month and this sentiment and simple rose seemed right.  It's from the set, GIGGLES X 3.  And I just noticed that it's on sale for less than   half price, so if you don't have it, snatch it up!  The swirl is from the Paris, Provential Collection.  Gotta love swirls.

The bag was really easy to make.  A great video tutorial is found  HERE.   She does absolutely wonderful video tutorials.

So there you have it.  Little gifts.  All wrapped up pretty.

I have a super busy weekend planned.  And the weather is supposed to be wonderful here.  Very concerning.  We should be in the 20's...and instead it's in the 50's.  Come summer, we just might have to go underground!  I am pretty sure that Oliver would hate that.  He is just diggin the sun today.  This is a really badly done photo of him, but I had to catch it while he was basking on the coach before he awoke!

We may have a little adventure this weekend to NJ to visit a little girl doggie that needs a home!  Stay tuned.  The fun just may double around here.  [I can hear my daughter's head exploding as she reads this!]

My Rising Sign

Your Rising Sign is Taurus

You are the ultimate rock - stable and centered.
People turn to you in crisis and count on you for calm.
Stubborn and strong minded, you can't be pushed around.
You are also tenacious, and you always will stick with something difficult.
A bit fan of nature, you're attracted to the beauty of the outdoors.
And sometimes, you find it easier to relate to animals than people.

What's Your Rising Sign?

Well, okay, I don't know about stable.
And surely, my husband, at least, would argue about coming to me for "calm".

But the rest, yeah.

Inspirational Unity Blog Hop

I have three huge passions related to art: photography, jewelry making, and paper crafts.

Above combines two of those passions: jewelry making and paper crafts. The necklace featured is a gift for a friend.

I used Unity Stamp Company stamps in all the projects shown in the picture above. If you look closely, you'll even see that I used the Hawaiian Border and the swirls in the lambs fleece of Love Ewe to make the bronze charms in the jewelry above!

Besides the stamps used, other materials included Bronz Clay, antiqued bronze findings, and various beads.

Of course, what gift isn't complete without packaging?

You can find the tutorial for the bag Here.
Paper and cardstock, punches, and ribbon used are from Stampin Up! while the stamp used is from Unity's March Kit of the Month.

People who know me know how I strive to use humor everyday...and especially to make light of otherwise stressful situations. So, my quote for the day has absolutely nothing to do with my project. It's …

Unity Blog Hop

My project today is a little mini album I put together to give to my daughter, who is exploring the possibility of traveling across America from Washington State to Delaware in July. I wanted to give her something to log and journal her adventures!

I used stamps from Unity Stamp Company's June and November Kits of the Month for the cover.

Inside the cover, I put a little note. She plans to hitch hike which is extremely bothersome to me. I want her to be safe! Maybe I'll suggest flying out and renting a car and doing a rode trip with her! That would curb my fears and will also be fun!

The journal block comes from their September Kit.

Unity Stamp Company is featuring a sale on their previous Kits! This is the time to get them if you don't have ENOUGH! See their sales here: Sales at Unity

The inside pages were not made with a KOM stamp, but this stamp is cool all the same. I love this flower. It's big and has many uses!
