Fa La La La La

I'm starting to make my holiday cards and this is the month!
Not only for taking note and giving thanks, but also preparing for all the holiday fun in December.
I have to admit that when I get in the midst of holiday preparation, I do alot of card surfing and CASEing (Copy and Steal Everything).  That and entering lots of challenges, which help inspire me.

I am excited about this card, because it's one of the few times that I got a chance to use my SMAK kit almost as soon as it arrived!  Just got it this week and it was perfect for what I wanted to do.

If you are interested, following are the products I used for this kit.

Product Information
All the snowflakes are part of Unity's SMAK November 2012 kit.
"Christmas Wishes" is also Unity from Joy and Wonder
The ribbon is 3GirlJam Summer Sprinkles Crinkle Ribbon from the Seasons Bundle.
Everything else is Stampin' Up and I even took the time to add a little stitching to boot!

Speaking of challenges, if you haven't already, take a look over on the 3GirlJam Challenge Blog and submit your wonderful creation today!  They have really great prizes! (and I'm telling ya', if I wasn't a designer, I'd be stalking and submitting away cuz who wouldn't want some free stuff for their awesomeness, right?)

Well that's it for me today.  I have alot of blog trolling, comment leaving to do, and must get busy working on more cards and gifts!

I have crafting to do!

Baker John

Totally scrumptious, this bread. John is home from college right now and in-between hours of aimless gaming, he must be thinking of good food. He trolled my cookbook case and pulled a very old Italian bread cookbook out and VOILA....filled our house with the wonderful aroma of rosemary. His first loaf.

On the Mend

This card is for my friend who is on the mend (the one who survived the motorcycle accident).  She has amazed everyone with her recovery, even the hospital staff.  What she has yet to overcome is just the time involved in patching herself back together. I thought this would be a good card for her and hope it puts a smile on her face.  She probably feels alot like this mummy right now, because I bet there aren't many areas on her not covered with bandages and casts. The sentiment I used is from a StampinUp! set from the 2011-2012 catalog.  (I just got these yesterday).  It has 4 stamps, all with this swirly, vintage feel [Thank You, Happy Birthday, Celebrate Today, and Get Well].

Precious Boy

A quiet, misty morning walk in late March 2012. This little precious boy puts a smile on my face every time I look at him. I mean, really, who wouldn't smile like there's no tomorrow at this little guy?  I love him.  Every. Little. Thing. He almost (ALMOST) competes with my husband. My sweet husband with a similar expression.  What do YOU think?
