My Dearest Friend

...heard news this morning that no mother ever wants to hear. Ever. Her middle son, Lance, died suddenly this morning. Right now, there's no explanation. His 5 year old son found him. He was 28.

I feel so sad and numb. What do I say to a friend when I know deep down in my soul that I have no idea how horrible and helpless this must feel? Remembering that dumb prank earlier this year doesn't even scratch the surface for what my dear friend, Jean, and her family must be experiencing.
