Luck of the Irish Blog Hop

Hi There Hoppers!

Thanks for visiting me today.  Today is my day to share a project with you as part of the Pinque Peacock Blog Hop!

It has been happening all weekend...started on Friday, so if this is the first you heard of it, you might want to start at the beginning to see all the lovely projects the team of artists and creators have to show you!  Click on the button above to go the Pinque Peacock blog post for the start of the hop.  You will definitely want to participate, because there is a great reward if you do!

You can find out how to qualify for the gift on the Pinque Peacock blog!

I realize my two projects aren't exactly "Irish" or themed to the upcoming St. Patty's Day holiday, but this is where my muse took me.

First, my card features one of the Pinque Peacock stick pins.  Isn't it lovely?  Here's a close-up.

And my second project is to hold my Pinque Peacock stick pins and buttons.  I made it from a jelly jar, fabric, and pillow stuffing!

Well, thanks for visiting me!  Next up is the wonderful

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

I am also submitting this to the current "Oldie but Goodie Challenge".  The challenge is to use bright colors.  This challenge is also good for using something in the card that is at least 6 months of age.  I used several items that I've had for at LEAST 6 months:
  • The Pink ribbon
  • Green button
  • "Thanks"

Inspirational Unity Blog Hop

I have three huge passions related to art: photography, jewelry making, and paper crafts. Above combines two of those passions: jewelry making and paper crafts. The necklace featured is a gift for a friend. I used Unity Stamp Company stamps in all the projects shown in the picture above. If you look closely, you'll even see that I used the Hawaiian Border and the swirls in the lambs fleece of Love Ewe to make the bronze charms in the jewelry above! Besides the stamps used, other materials included Bronz Clay, antiqued bronze findings, and various beads. Of course, what gift isn't complete without packaging? You can find the tutorial for the bag Here . Paper and cardstock, punches, and ribbon used are from Stampin Up! while the stamp used is from Unity's March Kit of the Month . People who know me know how I strive to use humor everyday...and especially to make light of otherwise stressful situations. So, my quote for the day has absolutely nothing to do with my project. I

Unity Blog Hop

My project today is a little mini album I put together to give to my daughter, who is exploring the possibility of traveling across America from Washington State to Delaware in July. I wanted to give her something to log and journal her adventures! I used stamps from Unity Stamp Company's June and November Kits of the Month for the cover. Inside the cover, I put a little note. She plans to hitch hike which is extremely bothersome to me. I want her to be safe! Maybe I'll suggest flying out and renting a car and doing a rode trip with her! That would curb my fears and will also be fun! The journal block comes from their September Kit . Unity Stamp Company is featuring a sale on their previous Kits! This is the time to get them if you don't have ENOUGH! See their sales here: Sales at Unity The inside pages were not made with a KOM stamp, but this stamp is cool all the same. I love this flower . It's big and has many uses! To start at the beginning of the blog hop,
