Fun with Sis

Well, after mooning over so many scrapbook layouts, I decided to to give it a go again.

This is what I came up with. If every layout took me as long as this one did, by the time I expire, I'll only have a handful done! But it was sure fun...I'll have to give it a whirl again soon.

This picture you've seen before, because it's one of my favorites with my sister. I don't have many pictures of myself when I was wee, and I remember this apartment and the fun I had with my sister in our "playroom" in that apartment. I have several memories of those apartments that are warm and fun. In the playroom, we had a small stove, refrigerator, table, and lots of other toys...I remember playing with my sister having so much fun...One very vivid memory (not in the playroom, but at that home) is when we were supposed to be sleeping...instead, the both of us were bouncing on our beds and jumping from bed to bed...and then in came the parents, followed with our shrill screams and laughter as they tried to coax us back into slumber.

Yay! I love this!
I am going to officially start my "first" scrapbook. I know that sound silly since I am crafty... but until NOW (with being pregnant) I haven't had anything really worth scrapbooking! So I am pretty excited.

You know, even if you only get a handful done, they'll each be infused with love and meaning. This one is fabulous.

And while this is a special gift, it's also part of a really fun blog hop I'm participating in with the other Mixed Up Media Chix!   Follow along...You'll truly be inspired.

Cold Heartless Prank

I get a call this afternoon at work from "a friend" of my daughter's. He said that my daughter had been in a serious accident --> hit by a car. He told me that she had a compound fracture and was being taken to a hospital (he told me the name of the hospital). I asked a few more questions as my panic increased to almost hysteria. I had started to cry and was shaking pretty badly

My daughter lives across the country - literally. I was so frightened that something had happened and she was injured and well, you know....all sorts of terrible things started running through my head.

So, in a scurry, a few of my colleagues here at work searched Google and found the number for the hospital ER and the State Police for me. What a blessing they were.

The ER said that she hadn't arrived yet. They also said that they hadn't received any "codes", meaning, that at least they were not having an emergency brought in that was life threatening. The emergency room sugge…
