Fun with Sis

Well, after mooning over so many scrapbook layouts, I decided to to give it a go again.

This is what I came up with. If every layout took me as long as this one did, by the time I expire, I'll only have a handful done! But it was sure fun...I'll have to give it a whirl again soon.

This picture you've seen before, because it's one of my favorites with my sister. I don't have many pictures of myself when I was wee, and I remember this apartment and the fun I had with my sister in our "playroom" in that apartment. I have several memories of those apartments that are warm and fun. In the playroom, we had a small stove, refrigerator, table, and lots of other toys...I remember playing with my sister having so much fun...One very vivid memory (not in the playroom, but at that home) is when we were supposed to be sleeping...instead, the both of us were bouncing on our beds and jumping from bed to bed...and then in came the parents, followed with our shrill screams and laughter as they tried to coax us back into slumber.

Yay! I love this!
I am going to officially start my "first" scrapbook. I know that sound silly since I am crafty... but until NOW (with being pregnant) I haven't had anything really worth scrapbooking! So I am pretty excited.

You know, even if you only get a handful done, they'll each be infused with love and meaning. This one is fabulous.

Baker John

Totally scrumptious, this bread. John is home from college right now and in-between hours of aimless gaming, he must be thinking of good food. He trolled my cookbook case and pulled a very old Italian bread cookbook out and VOILA....filled our house with the wonderful aroma of rosemary. His first loaf.

On the Mend

This card is for my friend who is on the mend (the one who survived the motorcycle accident).  She has amazed everyone with her recovery, even the hospital staff.  What she has yet to overcome is just the time involved in patching herself back together. I thought this would be a good card for her and hope it puts a smile on her face.  She probably feels alot like this mummy right now, because I bet there aren't many areas on her not covered with bandages and casts. The sentiment I used is from a StampinUp! set from the 2011-2012 catalog.  (I just got these yesterday).  It has 4 stamps, all with this swirly, vintage feel [Thank You, Happy Birthday, Celebrate Today, and Get Well].

Precious Boy

A quiet, misty morning walk in late March 2012. This little precious boy puts a smile on my face every time I look at him. I mean, really, who wouldn't smile like there's no tomorrow at this little guy?  I love him.  Every. Little. Thing. He almost (ALMOST) competes with my husband. My sweet husband with a similar expression.  What do YOU think?
